August 14, 2014, FIND No. 53 and 54,  Teens do Trek
1)  FIND.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Mushroom Incident.  https://vimeo.com/64948054 (6:04).  High school project by John Akins from 1993.

 2) FIND.   Star Trek: The Mini Series (ultimately, one short episode).  Golden Age, in spite of Scotty being dressed in a TNG costume.  But for a high school effort... great CGI, and some attempt at costumes.  Music and Frantic speed, together with a Khan appearance all seem to be from the JJA films, although the costumes look like TOS costumes... sort of.  The  Mini-Series:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAtAPCklT6Y (7:14) (posted 2013)  Posted from Feb. 2013 through June 2013 in parts, then put into a single film posted June 13, 2013.  For more Select Star Trek Fan Film School and Church Projects, see  http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/205.html

April 23, 2014.  News.  Stan Lee, the creator of Spiderman and most of the rest of the 1960s Marvel Comics universe, has agreed to take a major role in the professionally run planned Star Trek Fan Film, Star Trek Equinox.  I don't usually announce casting, but I thought this was of particular interest.  Also starring in Star Trek: Equinox are TOS second pilot guest star Gary Lockwood and VOY guest star John Savage. For a newspaper article about this development, see http://www.examiner.com/article/stan-lee-to-join-the-cast-of-star-trek-equinox#sthash.vEUldwSg .  For more about his production, see (E) under http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/210.html

William Shakespeare is 450 years old today.  He was much quoted in TOS.  If you thought Star Trek was long-lasting as it approached it's 50th year, realize that Shakespeare's plays still fill seats in theaters around the world.  Will Trek still be playing 450 years after it was introduced, in the year 2416?
